But he was a very close friend. He told me, ‘I have produced 99 films. I want to complete my 100th film and retire peacefully. You should act in that film.” Rajinikanth’s heartfelt words quickly went viral among fans. It is worth mentioning that R.B. Choudary initially wanted Vijay to headline his landmark 100th production venture. However, after Vijay announced ‘Jana Nayagan’ as his final film before fully entering politics, the veteran producer may have shifted his attention towards Rajinikanth for the prestigious project.
