Seven-year-old girl gangraped, murdered in Khargone | page 1Khargone: A seven-year-old girl was gang-raped and murdered by a relative and his friend in Oon police station area of Khargone district, police said.Khargone SP Ravindra Verma said the incident occurred Tuesday night when the victim’s father sent the Class 1 girl to buy ice candy from a shop 100 metres away. “The accused were sitting in a vacant shop opposite, watching pornographic films on mobile phone which triggered their premeditated plan,” he said.As the girl returned, the inebriated duo abducted her, took her to a barn 25 metres away in a stackyard, raped and strangled her to death. The survivor was also thrashed and she received minor injuries.Police arrested one accused, who is also a minor, on Tuesday and the probe has now been assigned to DSP headquarters, who started its probe on Wednesday.The incident took place under Kotwali police station area of the district on the night of May 2. Police said the Class 9 student was sleeping in the courtyard with her mother due to the heat when three youths allegedly abducted her by gagging her and took her to a nearby forest, where she was sexually assaulted. The accused allegedly fled after leaving the girl there, and she later returned home and informed her mother.“One of the accused was known to the survivor, he called her out on pretext of talking, but as she went out, the trio overpowered her. The two others who were present there took turns to rape her. They also thrashed her when she resisted and she sustained minor injuries. One of the accused is arrested, search for two others is going on,” DSP headquarters, Sidhi, Aman Mishra told TOI.
