The University of Mumbai has opened its Undergraduate (UG) admissions process for the 2026-27 academic session from May 6, 2026. The registration window will close on May 21, 2026, at 1 PM. The first merit list will be released on May 26. It has a three-day window for document verification and fee payment. By June 4, the third merit list will be out, with final admissions closing by June 9. Classes are scheduled to begin on June 13, 2026. What is the reservation matrix?
The University of Mumbai is currently working on a quota system that follows the rules laid down by the Government:
- Scheduled Castes: 13%
- Scheduled Tribes: 7%
- Other Backward Classes: 19%
- Economically Weaker Sections: 10%
- Socially & Educational Backward Classes: 10%
There are some more quotas for Nomadic Tribes (NT) and Denotified Tribes (DT).
