TN HSC result 2026 likely to be released on May 8 as Class 12 evaluation ends

Tamil Nadu HSC result 2026: The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE), Tamil Nadu is expected to announce the Tamil Nadu HSC Class 12 result 2026 on May 8, 2026. More than 8 lakh students who appeared for the board exams are waiting for their results.According to a School Education Department official quoted by PTI, the answer sheet evaluation process has been completed, and the results will be announced soon after the election results are declared.“The answer sheet evaluation is over, and the Class 12 board exam results will be declared soon after the election results,” the official told PTI.Students who appeared for the HSC public examinations held from March 2 to March 26, 2026, will be able to check their results on the official websites tnresults.nic.in and dge.tn.gov.in. As of now, there is no official confirmation regarding the exact date and time of the result declaration, but the latest update on the official result website says that the TN 12th results will be published soon.

Tamil Nadu 12th result 2026: How to check

To check the result, students will need their hall ticket number and date of birth. Students can follow these simple steps to download their marksheet:

  • Visit the official website at tnresults.nic.in
  • Click on the “HSC Examination Results 2026” link on the homepage
  • Enter your hall ticket number and date of birth
  • Click on the “View Result” button
  • Your TN Class 12 result will appear on the screen
  • Download and take a printout of the online marksheet for future use

Students should carefully check all details after downloading the scorecard. If they find any mistake, they should contact their school immediately for correction. The marksheet will include details such as student’s name, roll number, parents’ names, photograph, school name, subject-wise marks, total marks, and qualifying status.Last year, the Tamil Nadu Class 12 result recorded an overall pass percentage of 95.03 percent. Around 7.92 lakh students appeared for the exam, and nearly 7.53 lakh students passed. Girls performed better with a pass percentage of 96.7 percent, while boys recorded 93.16 percent.
