CISCE ICSE, ISC Result 2026: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations has declared the ICSE Class 10 and ISC Class 12 results, marking a key academic milestone for over 3.6 lakh candidates. The results were announced at 11:00 AM and made available through official websites, DigiLocker, and the CAREERS portal for schools.A total of 258,721 candidates appeared for the ICSE examination across 2,957 schools, while 103,316 candidates from 1,553 schools took the ISC examination. The data reflects participation from institutions across India and abroad, indicating the continued reach of the CISCE examination system.Overall pass percentage remains above 99The results show consistently high pass percentages in both examinations. The ISC examination recorded an overall pass percentage of 99.13%. Girls achieved 99.48%, while boys secured 98.81%. In the ICSE examination, the overall pass percentage stood at 99.18%, with girls recording 99.46% and boys 98.93%.The data confirms that girls have outperformed boys in both examinations, with a marginal difference in overall performance levels. The figures indicate stable outcomes across both academic levels.Participation across schools and gender distributionIn the ISC examination, 54,118 boys and 49,198 girls appeared, accounting for 52.38% and 47.62% respectively. In the ICSE examination, 137,503 boys and 121,218 girls participated, representing 53.15% and 46.85% of total candidates.The wide participation across schools highlights the scale of the examination process and the distribution of candidates across different regions and institutions.Regional and subject-wise performance trendsRegional data shows strong performance across zones. In the ISC examination, the Southern region recorded the highest pass percentage at 99.87%, followed by the Western region at 99.55%. In ICSE, the Western region led with 99.85%, closely followed by the Southern region at 99.81%.The ISC examination covered 45 written subjects, including Indian, foreign, and classical languages. The ICSE examination offered 67 subjects, reflecting a broader curriculum across language and academic disciplines.Category-wise results show consistent performancePerformance across social categories remained consistent. In ISC, Scheduled Caste candidates recorded a pass percentage of 98.77%, while Scheduled Tribe candidates achieved 98.84%. Other Backward Classes recorded 99.12%, and General Category candidates achieved 99.17%.In ICSE, Scheduled Caste candidates recorded 98.76%, Scheduled Tribe candidates 98.07%, Other Backward Classes 99.24%, and General Category candidates 99.26%. The figures reflect uniform outcomes across categories.Performance of candidates with special needsCandidates with special needs also recorded notable results. In ISC, 305 candidates with learning difficulties appeared, with 36 scoring above 90%. Among 22 visually challenged candidates, 9 secured above 90%.In ICSE, 1,313 candidates with learning difficulties appeared, with 132 scoring above 90%. Among 54 visually challenged candidates, 17 achieved above 90%. These figures reflect participation and performance across diverse learner groups.Post-result process and support measuresCISCE has outlined a structured post-result process. The recheck window will remain open from May 1 to May 4, 2026. Re-evaluation and improvement examinations will follow in June and July.The board also provided a 24×7 helpline to support students during the examination period. Schools can access detailed tabulation registers and performance reports through the CAREERS portal.
