Suriya’s emotional speech at 'Karuppu' audio launch wins hearts in Madurai; Actor calls Karuppasamy the real hero

The audio launch of ‘Karuppu,’ starring Suriya and Trisha Krishnan, became a massive celebration in Madurai. The film is directed by RJ Balaji with music by Sai Abhyankkar. The event drew a huge crowd, but Suriya’s emotional speech completely captured attention. His soulful words regarding fans, Madurai, and movies received much love from fans.

Suriya’s feelings towards Madurai

Suriya started his speech by expressing his strong bond with Madurai. As reported by Filmibeat, he said, “Madurai is always special to me.” He spoke warmly about the city’s food, culture, and the love of its people. He added, “I truly admire the way people here respect traditions and kindness.” Comparing the event to a celebration, he said, “This feels like another Chithirai festival for Madurai.” He also thanked fans for supporting him for over 28 years, saying their love has shaped his journey.

Suriya’s spiritual words go viral

One of the most talked-about moments came when Suriya spoke about the film’s spiritual theme. In fact, he said, “I am not the hero in this movie; Karuppasamy is the hero.” Moreover, he stated, “If there is faith, wonders are sure to happen.” Suriya’s words regarding faith and destiny touched many hearts.

Suriya promises a powerful theatre experience

Suriya also praised director RJ Balaji for his creative talent and versatility. He said, “I see myself only as Suriya, but he sees himself as a director, actor, and commentator.” He thanked Dream Warrior Pictures for their strong vision and planning in bringing the film to a global audience. Appreciating the technical team, he said the stunt work and music will be major highlights. Speaking about the film’s structure, he noted, “The first half is emotional, and the second half has strong theatre moments.” With Karuppu set to release on May 14, he concluded by saying, “The result is in your hands. See you in theatres.”
