The disappearing waterfall in Gangotri National Park and how it happens
The aspect that captures attention in this instance is the illusion. Water seems to fall from a rock formation but disappears on its way to the ground. This does not happen due to the water stopping its flow. However, the phenomenon is caused by strong winds that blow from the mountains and break the water drops into mist.High up in the altitude, the winds tend to be fast and erratic. As the water falls down the cliff, it becomes broken to such an extent that it disappears into the air. Even the point of view makes the illusion more impressive to observe.
