The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) will release the second provisional admission list for Class 1 and Balvatika admissions today, April 16, intensifying the high-stakes admission cycle for the 2026–27 academic session.The list, to be published on official portals, will determine the next batch of selected candidates against seats left vacant after the first round. With thousands of applicants already filtered out in the initial list released on April 9 and 10, the second list is expected to trigger another round of movement across Kendriya Vidyalayas.Candidates not finding a place even in this round will have one final opportunity, with KVS scheduled to release a third list on April 21, subject to availability of seats.Documents required at the time of verification include birth certificate, residence proof, passport-size photographs, caste and income certificates (where applicable), service certificate for government employees, and the distance declaration form under the Right to Education (RTE) quota.

- Go to the official website of KVS, kvsangathan.nic.in or the admission portal admission.kvs.gov.in.
- On the homepage, click on the link for “Class 1 Admission 2026-27”
- Look for the option titled “Second Provisional List” or “Lottery Result 2026-27”
- Select your region, state, and Kendriya Vidyalaya (school)
- The list will appear in PDF format on the screen
- Check your child’s name in the list carefully
- Download the PDF and take a printout for future reference
