New details from CinemaCon 2026 are offering fans a closer look at ‘Ramayana: Part One’. Following the Day 1 interviews and interactions, a first look at Yash’s Ravana costume was shared online.Photos from the venue showcased costumes of the film’s lead characters, including Ranbir Kapoor’s Lord Rama and Sai Pallavi’s Sita. Kapoor’s look featured a blue dhoti paired with a maroon and gold shawl, complemented by a large gold crown and jewellery, much like his look in the ‘Rama’ trailer. Sai Pallavi’s Sita, in contrast, was presented in a simpler red saree with a necklace.

Yash’s Ravana costume, on the other hand, which was teased briefly in the Rama footage, was displayed on a mannequin. The photos gave fans a closer look at his striking black and intricate gold ensemble. The look appeared to be designed as battle armour, complete with an elaborate crown, gold breastplate, shoulder pads, arm bands, cuffs and an elaborate dhoti.

Yash confirms ‘no scenes’ with Ranbir in ‘Ramayana: Part One’

In an interview with Fandango, Yash was asked about the film and about creating a dynamic with his co-star Ranbir. Much to everyone’s surprise, Yash confirmed that he does not share any scenes with Kapoor in the first instalment of the two-part epic. “Interestingly we both have never come together on screen in this film. As you all know, it’s a two-part film, so in the first part, as Ravana, I have my own kingdom and Rama has his own kingdom,” he explained.Yash praises co-star RanbirDespite not sharing screen space in Part 1, the actor showered priase on co-star, adding, “But, yeah, we have met a couple of times, he’s such a fabulous actor. I think it is mutual respect which has played out and chemistry is like when you are out to do something phenomenal and it’s as ambitious as ‘Ramayana’, all of us have a single agenda – to give our best to present this story. So, I think our visions are aligned, hence the chemistry between us not even an issue. We’re just enjoying.”

‘Ramayana’ release date

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, ‘Ramayana’ is being mounted as a two-part cinematic event, with Part 1 slated for release during Diwali 2026 and Part 2 scheduled for Diwali 2027.
