The incident sparked backlash online and a public post from her stepfather, Brazilian footballer Jorginho, who accused the guard of confronting Ada harshly and even threatening to report her to hotel management.

The next day, Ada’s mother, Catherine Harding, shared a more uplifting scene on Instagram Stories, posting a photo of Ada smiling next to Capaldi, who had just performed at Lollapalooza Brazil. In another close-up shot, the singer is seen standing with his hands gently on Ada’s shoulders, capturing a simple, stabilising moment between a superstar and a still-healing young fan. Harding captioned the images to thank Capaldi for his “kindness”,’ writing something along the lines of gratitude for the way he made her daughter feel seen and at ease.In the comments and reposts, fans noted that Capaldi seemed to “see the timeline in shambles and said ‘no, I got this,’” reflecting how his warm interaction stood in stark contrast to the earlier harshness Ada had experienced. After the hotel incident, Harding said the family had decided Ada did not want to attend Chappell Roan’s show that night, opting instead for a girls’ day out shopping and dinner together.
