Sharing a series of rare and intimate childhood photographs, the ‘Qala’ actor reflected on his deep-rooted bond with the late actor, who passed away in April 2020. The collection of images, ranging from tender moments of a baby Babil cradled in Irrfan’s arms to playful shoulder rides at home, captured a side of the global icon rarely seen by the public.

With my feet planted firm in my roots.” His mother, Sutapa Sikdar, left a touching comment: “What beautiful pictures both with same expression. Sutapa Sikdar, a writer and producer, was Irrfan’s wife for many years. They met at the National School of Drama, married in 1995, and have two sons, Babil and Ayan.
