Audi cars in India to get costlier from April '26: Here’s by how much & why

Audi has announced a price increase across its model range in India. The company confirmed that the revision will come into effect from April 1, 2026, with prices set to go up by up to 2 percent. The adjustment will apply to the ex-showroom prices of all Audi models currently sold in the country.Once the new prices come into effect, the increase will be reflected across Audi’s entire portfolio in India. The brand currently offers several luxury sedans and SUVs in the country, including the Audi A4, Audi A5, Audi A6, Audi Q3, Audi Q3 Sportback, Audi Q5, Audi Q7, Audi Q8 and the high-performance Audi RS Q8 Performance.

Audi price hike: Why are Audi cars getting costlier?

According to the luxury carmaker, the price revision is being implemented due to rising input costs and fluctuations in currency exchange rates. These factors have been impacting the cost of production and imports, prompting the company to make a marginal price correction across its lineup.

The announcement comes at a time when Audi is preparing to expand its performance lineup in India. The company is set to introduce the new Audi SQ8 in the country on March 17. The upcoming model will slot between the standard Q8 and the range-topping RS Q8 in Audi’s SUV portfolio.Bookings for the SQ8 have already commenced ahead of its launch, with customers required to pay a token amount of Rs 5 lakh to reserve the performance SUV. One of the key highlights of the model is its powerful V8 engine that produces 507 hp and 770 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
