Hyundai Exter facelift spotted: What to expect at launch

Fresh spy shots of the upcoming Hyundai Exter facelift have surfaced online, this time from Hyundai’s home market of South Korea. The micro SUV has been undergoing tests for a while now, and it was also seen on Indian roads last month, hinting that the launch could be drawing closer.

Hyundai Exter facelift: What to expect

The latest test mule appears to be a lower-spec variant, riding on 14-inch steel wheels. It is heavily camouflaged, but a few design details are visible. The front fascia seems to feature a revised grille and a reworked bumper. The split headlamp setup has been retained, along with the distinctive H-shaped LED daytime running lights. At the rear, the facelifted model is expected to get a redesigned tailgate, refreshed tail-lamps and a new bumper. Interestingly, the test vehicle spotted overseas does not appear to have roof rails. The cabin layout is likely to remain largely similar. However, Hyundai could introduce a larger touchscreen infotainment system besides the addition of a few convenience features.
