Tata Punch EV facelift launch tomorrow: What to expect

Tata Motors is all set to launch the new Tata Punch EV facelift in the Indian market tomorrow, i.e., February 20, 2026. This marks the first facelift for the model since its 2023 debut, bringing subtle design updates, a new colour option, and a few other enhancements. Pre-bookings for the EV will begin tomorrow, with deliveries scheduled to begin right after launch. Ahead of its launch tomorrow, let’s take a look at everything we know so far. Tata Punch EV facelift: Range, Battery The Punch EV is expected to carry forward the same battery pack options – Standard and Long Range. The standard gets a 25kWh battery with 315km of MIDC range and the LR variant gets a 35kWh battery with 421km of MIDC range. The Long Range variants put out 122hp of power and 190 Nm of torque, and the standard variants put out 82hp of power and 114Nm torque. Tata claims that the Long Range variants can sprint from 0-100kph in under 9.5 seconds, and the standard models take 13.5 seconds. It will continue to get a 3.3kW wall box charger and a 7.2kW fast charger. The Punch EV will also support DC fast charging and Tata claims it can be charged from 10-80 per cent in 56 minutes using a 50kW fast charger.As per reports, the Punch EV could receive a larger battery pack option. While the exact capacity has not been confirmed, it is expected to be around 40 kWh or 45 kWh, offering an extended driving range.

Tata Punch EV facelift: Design The most noticeable changes are at the front. The updated Punch EV does away with the black strip that earlier ran between the headlamps, opting instead for a neater, sealed-off grille area that sharpens its overall look. A full-width LED light strip now joins the daytime running lamps, and the lower section of the front bumper has been subtly revised to enhance the SUV’s contemporary appeal.The upcoming EV also gets newly designed aero-focused alloy wheels which will likely measure 195/60 R16. Adding to the visual updates is a new body colour inspired by the Harrier’s Sunlit Yellow, which will be offered with a contrasting black roof. While the rear design has yet to be officially revealed, the electric SUV is likely to feature connected LED tail lamps, in line with the petrol-powered Punch. Other highlights will include a charging port at the front, skid plates on both ends, an integrated spoiler, a shark fin antenna and more.Tata Punch EV facelift: Interior and features Moving inside, the overall layout will remain the same but will get minor tweaks as seen in the ICE model. It’s expected to get redesigned AC vents and new upholstery choices, along with improved thigh support for the seats. Other interior highlights will include a two-spoke steering wheel with illuminated logo, piano black centre console, rotary drive selector with a centre screen, touch-sensitive AC control panel, contoured door panels, angular air vents with silver accents and more.The e-SUV is expected to get a bigger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a new UI. It continues to get other features such as a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, voice-enabled single-pane electric sunroof, automatic climate control, LED headlamps with DRLs, multi-colour ambient lighting, wireless charging, a 360-degree camera, an auto-dimming IRVM, arcade. ev suite and connected car tech. Expected safety features include six airbags, electronic stability control, hill hold assist, all-wheel disc brakes, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, 360-degree camera, and front and rear parking sensors. Speculation suggests that the Punch EV facelift could be offered with Level 2 ADAS, but the company has not officially confirmed this feature yet.
