India Post activates GDS 2026 edit link for BPM and ABPM vacancies

The Indian Postal Department has activated the correction window for the India Post GDS Recruitment 2026 application form. Candidates who have submitted their forms for the January 2026 cycle can now edit their details through the active link provided by the department.Recruitment is ongoing for 28, 636 vacancies of Gramin Dak Sevak(GDS), Branch Postmaster (BPM), and Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) on a direct recruitment basis. The India Post GDS Recruitment 2026 notification was released on 31st January 2026 and the last date to apply online was 16th February 2026.Correction window open for a limited periodThe correction/edit window for the application form will be open from 18th February to 19th February 2026, till 05:00 pm only. Candidates can log in to their accounts and make changes in the information already submitted during this period.The recruitment process is purely based on the marks scored in Class 10. There will be no written test for the selection of candidates. Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their academic performance, followed by document verification and a medical test.Important dates and application fee informationAccording to the schedule, the registration process started on January 31, 2026, and ended on February 14, 2026. The online application procedure started on February 2, 2026, and ended on February 16, 2026. The date of the result will be announced later.The application fee for General, OBC, and EWS categories is ?100. However, candidates belonging to SC, ST, Female, PH, and PWD categories are exempted from paying the application fee. The application fee can be paid only through online means.Age limit and eligibility criteriaThe candidate should be between 18 and 40 years of age as of January 1, 2026. Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms.The recruitment is available for candidates who have passed Class 10. State-wise vacancies have been announced for the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) post, with a total of 28,636 vacancies available.Candidates are requested to make corrections within the allotted time period, as no further chance for correction will be offered after the closure of the correction window.
