John Abraham drives Mahindra BE 6 as safety car at Goa Street Race

Bollywood actor John Abraham was behind the wheel of the Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition as it took on official duties at the IRL Goa Street Race, Round 4 of the 2025–26 season. The electric SUV served as the Official Safety Car at the event. It was also the league’s first-ever street circuit in Goa.John Abraham, who owns Team Goa Aces JA Racing, experienced a hot lap in the BE 6 Formula E Edition. The model is built on Mahindra’s INGLO platform and draws inspiration from the brand’s journey in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.Powering the safety car is a 79 kWh battery pack paired with an electric motor that produces 282 bhp and 380 Nm of torque. Mahindra claims a range of 653 km as per ARAI testing and over 680 km under MIDC standards. The SUV can sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.7 seconds and has a top speed of 202 kmph. Fast charging from 20 to 80 per cent is said to take just 20 minutes using a 180 kW DC charger.

Launched in late 2025, the BE 6 Formula E Edition is based on the 79 kWh version of the standard BE 6. It is offered in two variants. The FE2 is priced at Rs 23.69 lakh, ex-showroom, while the FE3 costs Rs 24.49 lakh, ex-showroom, and adds features such as adaptive suspension and 20-inch wheels.On the design front, the special edition stands out with a revised front bumper featuring circular projector headlamps, a larger rear wing and orange highlights on the brake calipers and tow hooks. Inside, the SUV gets a black and orange theme with translucent door panels, FIA branding on the seat belts and a mix of Alcantara and suede upholstery. It also features a race-inspired flip-cap cover for the start/stop button, Formula E-themed start-up animations on its dual 12.3-inch screens and custom exterior sound signatures. It can be had in Everest White, Firestorm Orange, Tango Red and Stealth Black colour options.
