When will CTET 2026 answer key be released? Here's what we know

CTET 2026 answer key: The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2026, conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, was successfully held on February 7 and 8, 2026, in two shifts each day for Paper I and Paper II at centres across the country, according to the official website. With the exam now over, candidates are eagerly waiting for the release of the official answer key to estimate their scores and plan their next steps.As of now, the board has not announced the exact date for the answer key. However, going by previous years’ trends and expert estimates, the provisional answer key is expected soon.

When is the CTET 2026 answer key expected?

Usually, the provisional answer key is published within 10 to 15 days of the exam. Following this trend, aspirants may anticipate the release of the CTET 2026 provisional answer key somewhere between February 18 and February 23, 2026.It will be available online on the official CTET website in PDF format for all candidates.

What happens after the provisional answer key?

After the release of the provisional key, the board only allows a short objection window of around 2, 3 days. During this time:Candidates can challenge any answer they believe is incorrect along with the evidences. A fee will also be charged for each question challenged.

Final answer key and result

After the objection window closes, the CBSE reviews all the challenges. If any answer is found incorrect, it is revised.The final answer key is then released, and the result is prepared on its basis. This usually happens in late February or early March, while the CTET 2026 result is expected in the first or second week of March.Historically, CTET answer keys are not released immediately after the exam. The board takes about one to two weeks for scanning response sheets, internal verification, and preparing the provisional key. The objection process that follows ensures transparency and gives candidates a fair chance to raise concerns.
