Naseem Mughal, who played the role of Lulli Dakait in ‘Dhurandhar’, had shared his opinion on the film being labeled as propaganda. Dhruv Rathee had called out the first film when it was out in theaters. Now, a video of Naseem from his December 2025 interview has resurfaced and is going viral on the internet, in which he can be seen addressing the same.

Naseem Mughal on ‘Dhurandhar’ being labeled as ‘propaganda’

In an interview with Filmygyan, Naseem Mughal had expressed, “Dhruv ke kehne se woh propaganda hoti hai toh ho. Propaganda agar kisiko kehna hai film ke baare mein toh kaho. Aapko jo kehna hai aap kaho. Lekin aap toofan ko toh rok nahi sakte, toofan toh chal hi raha hai (If, according to Dhruv, it is propaganda, then so be it. If someone wants to call the film propaganda, they are free to do so—say whatever you want. But you cannot stop a storm; the storm is already in motion).“The actor had said this in his interview in December last year after the release of ‘Dhurandhar’. However, the clip has resurfaced on the internet and has taken over social media.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, ‘Dhurandhar’ was released in cinemas on December 5, 2025. The movie went on to earn over Rs 1300 crore globally. However, ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ is still at the top of the list of high-earning films in India, with over Rs 1200 crore in collections.
