Chaitra Purnima 2026: Significance
Satyanarayan Vrat holds a special importance in Hinduism. On this auspicious day, people observe fast from dawn to dusk and pray to Lord Vishnu. Devotees offer water to Moon God and it is believed that divine rays of Moon falls on earth on full Moon night. This day is considered sacred for engaging in a variety of religious and spiritual pursuits. Satyanarayan Vrat is believed to be performed in order to appease Lord Vishnu. This fast attracts happiness, prosperity and wealth.
Chaitra Purnima Vrat 2026 : Puja Rituals
1. Take a bath first thing in the morning.2. Clean the home, specially puja room, where you can perform Satyanarayan puja.3. Take wooden plank and place an idol of Lord Satyanarayan and Shree yantra (a symbol of Goddess Lakshmi).4. You can perform puja by yourself or you can invite priest to perform this puja.5. Satynarayan puja can be done at any time.6. Chant Om Jai Jagdish Aarti and Shree Laxmi Ramana Aarti while reciting the Satyanarayan tale.7.
