During his acceptance speech, he can be heard saying, “I am sorry, guys; this is a bit overwhelming. I wanted to be an actor ever since I was a little kid. And I am here today sharing the stage with these people (Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, and Shahid Kapoor); it’s very surreal. Thank you, Adi sir (Aditya Chopra), for believing in me. This is for the team of ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’. You guys are really special. Mom, dad, my beautiful sister Ritika, everything I do, I do to make you guys proud. Thank you very much. Ladies and gentlemen, I promise you there’s a lot more to come.”SRK, who was on the stage, asked him to come back while Ranveer was walking to get down from the stage. The superstar said, “Tu kyun ro raha hai. Rona toh humein chahiye. Ab humara kya hoga… tu agaya hai industry mein (Why are you crying? We should be the ones crying. What will happen to us now… you’ve entered the industry).”Khan added, “Idhar aa… Gale lag humare. Humko thoda pyaar de aur hum tujhe bataye ki tu kitna achcha aur kitna khoobsurat actor hai (Come here… give me a hug. Show me some love, and I’ll tell you how wonderful and how beautiful an actor you are).”Khan added, “Ladies and gentlemen, let’s hear it for Ranveer, one of the most most beautiful actors of our time.”
