Junior Vetri Vasanth, the lead actor in ‘Siragadikka Aasai,’ has become a household name due to his emotional performances. Vasanth, who unexpectedly landed the role after a friend encouraged him to audition, revealed he once cried for two hours on set after a particularly intense scene. The serial’s relatable portrayal of middle-class struggles contributes to its widespread appeal.

The popular Siragadikka Aasai enjoys a loyal audience, and Junior Vetri Vasanth, who plays Muthu, is certainly one of the main reasons why. Although he had earlier acted in short films and independent albums, he gained widespread recognition through this serial. What began as a simple opportunity has now turned him into a household name, with viewers closely connecting to his emotional performances and grounded screen presence.

An unexpected entry into television

According to News18, Vetri Vasanth revealed in a recent interview that he never expected to be part of the serial. A friend encouraged him to attend the audition, and even after hearing the story, he was convinced he would not be selected. The call confirming his role came as a complete surprise.

He also mentioned that he did not know how to drive before being cast in the show, highlighting the effort he puts into making Muthu realistic in every way.

The day Muthu’s emotions became real

One of the most striking moments from the interview was his heartfelt admission about an intense scene. A deeply emotional sequence required him to cry, and he performed it with complete involvement. However, even after the director called “cut,” he could not shake off the emotions and continued crying for nearly two hours on set.He recalled feeling so immersed in the character and storyline that the emotions lingered long after the scene ended. The video of him recounting the incident has since gone viral, with fans applauding his dedication and commitment to bringing Muthu to life.

A simple story that struck a chord

Alongside Gomathi Priya, who plays the female lead, the cast of Siragadikka Aasai also includes Sundarrajan, Anila Sreekumar, Salma Arun, Preetha Reddy, and Sreen Deva.The serial does not rely on extravagant glamour. Instead, it portrays the everyday struggles of a middle-class family. This natural storytelling and relatable narrative have helped viewers see reflections of their own lives in the characters, making the emotional moments resonate even more deeply and ensuring the show’s consistent popularity.
