UPSC opens three-day correction window for CSE 2026 applications: Here’s what aspirants need to know
UPSC CSE exam window 2026

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared a three-day correction period for candidates of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2026 and Indian Forest Service (IFoS) 2026 and provided aspirants with a once-in-a-lifetime chance to correct their application forms. To a lot of people, this may spell the difference between an easy application process and the troubles that may postpone or even eliminate their applications. This news is a relief to thousands of applicants who are going through the high-stress process of one of the most difficult examinations in India. The correction system will also enable the candidates to correct their personal information, educational background, category claims, and preferences at the examination centre before the process advances.

Time and scope of correction

After the close of the online application the correction window will open. UPSC will also publish a set of guidelines on the specific dates and the kind of corrections that were allowed on its official site. These guidelines need to be read carefully by the aspirants so that they can make valid changes within the constrained three days.

Knowledge of the new application system

The UPSC web portal is also updated and the previous one-time system of registration is gone in favor of a four-part module structure:

  • Account Creation
  • Universal Registration
  • Common Application Form
  • Examination-specific Module

The initial three parts save the data that is universally known in all the UPSC exams whereas the fourth one carries the examination notices, application forms, and application status of a particular examination. In the case of CSE and IFoS candidates, it is in this examination specific module that corrections have to be done.
