The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has officially declared the final results of the Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services (PCS) Examination 2024. According to the press release issued on March 29, 2026, a total of 932 candidates have been recommended for appointment against 947 notified vacancies across 24 different posts and services.Earlier, the PCS Mains result was announced on February 4, 2026, in which 2,719 candidates qualified for the interview round. Subsequently, following directions from the Allahabad High Court in multiple petitions, two additional candidates were provisionally allowed to appear for the interview through a notification dated March 20, 2026.

UPPSC PCS interview process and final selection details
The interview round was conducted between February 26 and March 23, 2026. Out of all shortlisted candidates, 21 candidates remained absent during the interview process.Based on the combined performance in the written examination and interviews, the Commission has now finalized 932 candidates for recommendation. However, 15 vacancies could not be filled due to the unavailability of suitable candidates. These include:
- 1 post of Administrative Officer
- 14 posts of Administrator
The Commission has stated that these vacancies will be carried forward as per existing rules.
Deputy Jailor result based on written exam only
The Commission clarified that the result for the post of Deputy Jailor has been prepared solely on the basis of the written examination. For some candidates who were declared successful but did not appear in the interview, their selection has been marked as provisional.This provisional status is due to discrepancies in their educational qualifications, category details, or related documents when compared with original records. The Commission will conduct a separate verification process, and final selection will depend on successful document validation.
Cut-off marks and scorecards to be released soon
UPPSC has announced that detailed information regarding candidates’ marks, along with category-wise and post-wise cut-off scores, will be uploaded on the official website shortly. The Commission has also clarified that RTI applications seeking such information will not be entertained.Candidates can check the final result on the official website, uppsc.up.nic.in.
