The couple announced that the name which originated entirely from their fans will be used to represent their marriage celebrations.In a heartfelt note they said the fan-created term has been part of their journey long before they personally acknowledged it. Their upcoming ceremony is scheduled for February 26, 2026, in Udaipur.

Couple shares emotional note dedicating wedding to fans
Vijay and Rashmika explained in their official statement on why they chose to name their wedding after the fan-created term. In their note, they wrote: “Our Dearest loves, Before we made any plans, before we chose anything for ourselves – you were already there. With so much love, you gave us a name. You called us ‘VIROSH’. So today – with full hearts, we name our coming together in your honour. We would like to name it – ‘The Wedding of VIROSH’. Thank you for holding us with so much love. You are a part of us – always. Biggest hugs and full love!”With the wedding date now final and the couple’s tribute to fans officially announced, attention has shifted to the grand ceremony in Udaipur.
