The first-ever auction for The Hundred took place at the iconic Piccadilly Lights in London on Thursday, with several young uncapped English cricketers attracting big bids. All-rounder James Coles emerged as the most expensive buy of the day after being snapped up by London Spirit for a whopping £390,000 (approximately Rs 4.81 crore). SUBSCRIBE NOW!Among overseas stars, South African power-hitter David Miller became the first international player to be sold, joining Southern Brave for £110,000 (around Rs 1.35 crore). His compatriot and South Africa T20I captain Aiden Markram was later signed by Manchester Originals for £200,000 (approximately Rs 2.46 crore), adding further star power as franchises finalised their squads for the 2026 season.
