As per reports, Stephen Curry’s impressive collection will now be auctioned to benefit the charity he co-founded with his wife, Ayesha Curry, Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation.The British-founded multinational corporation, Sotheby’s has confirmed that the 70 pairs which Stephen Curry wore in the last few months will be auctioned as the online bidding will begin on 13th April and end on 28th April.The Golden State Warriors’ star player and NBA legend, Stephen Curry, opened up about it as he said, “I’ve always believed that every pair of sneakers tells a story. This collection really captures a unique chapter for me during my sneaker free agency this season.”Stephen Curry continued, “From the tunnel walks to the on-court warm-ups to the games across the country, I was excited to spend this time shining a light on players over the years who have left their mark on the sneaker game.”Brahm Wachter, Sotheby’s Head of Modern Collectables, also addressed the noble cause as he said, “No player of that magnitude has navigated sneaker free agency under this kind of global spotlight, where every decision is seen, shared, and interpreted in real time.”However, this move of Stephen Curry’s is actually not that surprising since both he and his wife, popular entrepreneur and chef, Ayesha Curry, have always been pretty passionate about giving back to the society.
