The build-up to Super Bowl LX is usually dominated by preparation, pressure, and legacy. This time, however, the focus has shifted unexpectedly toward Stefon Diggs. Just ahead of the biggest game of the season, the New England Patriots wide receiver has been named in a lawsuit that introduces an off-field storyline during one of the most closely watched weeks of the NFL calendar.The lawsuit, first reported by TMZ, was filed by a man who claims he previously worked with Diggs in a professional capacity. The filing outlines a dispute that began in 2024 and later escalated, with the plaintiff alleging defamation, business losses, and physical injury.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff says Diggs asked him in July 2024 to arrange transportation for Diggs’ Ferrari from Miami to New York and then to Houston. The vehicle was later reported stolen while in Houston. The man claims law enforcement concluded the theft was carried out by third parties using a sophisticated method and that he was never arrested or charged in connection with the case.Despite that, the lawsuit alleges Diggs began telling people within their shared circles that the plaintiff was responsible for stealing the car. The man strongly denies the accusation and claims the statements damaged his reputation and caused his concierge and consulting business to suffer. He also alleges that individuals connected to Diggs confronted him in public settings in Houston and Miami and demanded the return of gifts Diggs had previously given him.The filing also references a January 2025 text message in which Diggs allegedly stated he was “responsible and accountable for all actions of those around me.” The situation allegedly escalated in December 2025, when the plaintiff claims he was assaulted at Tootsie’s Cabaret by two men said to be part of Diggs’ circle. He claims he suffered multiple injuries in the incident, including a torn ACL.The lawsuit names Diggs, additional individuals, and Diggs’ brother Trevon Diggs as defendants, citing defamation, civil conspiracy, and vicarious liability. Diggs has not publicly responded to the allegations, leaving the matter unresolved.
