SSB SI recruitment 2026 notification: The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has officially announced the recruitment notification for the posts of Sub Inspector for the year 2026. Applications for eligible candidates will be accepted through the official website, i.e., ssb.gov.in, from 21 March 2026 to 20 April 2026. This recruitment process is for 51 vacancies in various disciplines, offering an opportunity for candidates who are aspiring for positions in the Group B cadre.For those interested in applying for this recruitment, an application fee is required to be deposited. This amount is Rs. 200 for Gen, OBC, and EWS candidates. However, for SC, ST, and PWD candidates, this fee is exempted. The selection process is through a series of tests and evaluations, which include a physical test, written test, verification of documents, and a medical test.Vacancy Details and EligibilityThe recruitment for the role of Sub-Inspector in the SSB for the year 2026 is for three roles. One role is for the position of Sub-Inspector in Staff Nurse, for which there are 10 vacancies. The candidates must have a degree or diploma in the relevant field. Another role is for the position of Sub-Inspector in Pioneer, for which there are 21 vacancies. Similarly, for the role of Sub-Inspector in the field of Communication, there are 20 vacancies. The candidates must have a degree or diploma in the relevant field.The age of the candidates must be between 18 and 30 years as of 20 April 2026.Application Process and Important StepsThe first thing an applicant needs to do is refer to the detailed notification PDF for the requirements. The first phase will include a physical test for the fitness level of the applicants. The second phase will include a written test for the knowledge and aptitude of the applicants. After clearing the first two phases, the applicants will be required to go through a document verification test. Finally, the applicants who clear the first three phases will have to undergo a medical test.This SSB selection process provides a framework through which individuals who wish to join the paramilitary force can do so.
