Rajpal Yadav cast in Salman Khan’s next
According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, Khan has allegedly signed Yadav to play an important character in the action entertainer. The report claims that the actor will portray Khan’s right-hand man, and will share a ‘strong dynamic’ in the story. Contrary to speculation that the role was given to Yadav as a gesture from Khan, the report adds, “the casting has happened on merit.”The report further added that Salman is particularly fond of Rajpal and believes he is well-suited for the part. The two have shared screen space before in films like ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’ and ‘Partner’. If confirmed, the upcoming project would mark another collaboration between the two.
Salman Khan extends support to Rajpal Yadav
Salman perviously hit the headlines early this year, when he extended his support to the actor-comedian, who was mired in a Rs 9 crore debt case. Rajpal was sent to Tihar Jail in connection with the debt and cheque bounce case in February this year, prompting fellow Bollywood stars to step forward and offer their support. Salman also firmly backed Rajpal on social media following an alleged incident at an awards show where the actor was reportedly mocked over his financial situation and past legal troubles. In a tweet, Khan wrote, “Rajpal bhai aap 30 yrs se kaam kar rahe ho aur hum sabne aapko repeat kiya hai baar baar kyunki aap apna kaam jante ho aur ek value laate ho, kaam toh aapko bohot milega aur issi dollar rate pe milega aur milte rahega. Hakikat yeh hai. Aur yeh yaad rakhna ke kabhi kabhi flow mai kuch nikal aata hai, dena hi hai toh dimag mai rakho dil se kaam karo, dollar upar ho ya neeche kya farak padta hai dena toh India mai hi hai.”
