His remarks coincided with the release of the second-look poster for his upcoming film ‘Patriot,’ a highly anticipated espionage thriller co-starring Mohanlal and Kunchacko Boban, slated for a global release on April 23, 2026.

Mammootty has voiced his concern over the escalating tensions involving Iran, Israel, and the United States. He was speaking at the inauguration of an event commemorating 50 years of filmmaker T. V. Chandran’s cinematic journey.As reported by Asianet News, during his speech the ‘Patriot’ actor expressed hope that humanity would emerge victorious even if political or military outcomes remain unpredictable.

Mammootty’s full statement on war and uncertainty

Mammootty said, “There have been debates, arguments, and even wars in cinema as well. Sometimes some people win, and sometimes both sides lose. Even now, a war is going on outside. We don’t know who will win. I wish for humanity to win.”His remarks come at a time when the joint Israel–US attack on Iran has drawn international attention. Reports suggest that the strike killed Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

On the professional front Mammootty is gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated film, ‘Patriot’. The movie also marks the grand comeback of Nayanthara in Malayalam after a long gap.
