India Army’s DGMO has revealed that his Pakistani counterpart was the first one to dial the hotline to speak with him following the first night of attacks by the neighbour. Expecting imminent and proportionate retaliation for its misadventures the night before, Pakistan’s DGMO reached out to his Indian counterpart, first to seek willingness to communicate and then to propose an immediate cessation of further hostilities.
