The National Testing Agency (NTA) has warned the students appearing for the JEE Main 2026 exam against the fake posts that are being circulated on social media platforms, claiming that the question paper has been leaked. These posts are entirely fake and are being circulated on platforms such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and other social media sites. The agency clarified that no such leak has occurred and that the exam is being conducted in a secure and controlled environment. The warning was issued by NTA via its official X handle. In its public advisory, NTA has highlighted that such posts are part of scams targeting students and may involve requests for personal information or money. Candidates must rely only on official sources for authentic information.

Fake social media posts are part of a scam

The NTA has pointed out that the posts which claim to have leaked papers of the JEE Main 2026 exam are actually meant to deceive and cheat students. Some of these posts ask students to join paid groups or share their personal information in return for access to the exam papers or solutions.The NTA has warned that sharing information or making payments in response to such posts could compromise students’ security. Parents and students are advised to remain cautious and avoid interacting with these fake posts.

Official guidance for students

Aspirants are advised to look for updates only from the official NTA channels. The official website of NTA (nta.ac.in) is the only authentic source of information regarding JEE Main 2026 exams. Aspirants are advised not to fall for any unauthenticated messages or links.In the current JEE Main 2026 session, which is being held from January 21 to January 29, candidates are advised to strictly follow all the instructions during the examination days and be cautious of any misleading information. The NTA also informed candidates that the exams are strictly monitored for fairness and security.

Remain alert during exam time

The exam season is also a time when there are many misleading reports and fake posts. Candidates are advised not to participate in any unofficial Telegram or WhatsApp groups, not to share any sensitive information, and to refer only to official NTA notifications.
