The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the Stage 1 result for the National Institute of Fashion Technology Entrance Examination (NIFTEE) 2026 today, March 20, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now check and download their results from the official website, exams.nta.nic.in/niftee.The NIFTEE 2026 Stage 1 exam was conducted on February 8, 2026, for admission to various undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programmes offered by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) for the academic session 2026-27, according to the official notice.The entrance exam was held across 129 centres in 97 cities in India. Depending on the course, the exam was conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) or Paper-Based Test (PBT) mode in both Hindi and English.
Programmes covered under Stage 1
The Stage 1 result has been declared for the following courses:
- Bachelor of Design (B.Des.)
- Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech.)
- Master of Design (M.Des.)
- Master of Fashion Management (M.F.M.)
- Master of Fashion Technology (M.F.Tech.)
- Lateral Entry programmes for B.Des. and B.F.Tech.
However, the final result for the Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech.) programme will be declared later, as there is no Stage 2 exam for this course.
Stage 2 shortlisting details
Candidates have been shortlisted for Stage 2 based on their performance in Stage 1. The shortlisting has been done in a 1:4 ratio, which means four candidates have been selected for every available seat in each category.For Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates, an additional condition has been applied. They must have scored at least 50% of the cut-off marks of their category to be shortlisted.Depending on the course, shortlisted candidates will appear for:
- Situation Test (for B.Des.)
- Personal Interview (for M.Des., M.F.M., M.F.Tech.)
- Studio Test and Interview (for B.Des. Lateral Entry)
- Technical Ability Test and Interview (for B.F.Tech. Lateral Entry)
The dates for Stage 2 exams will be announced later on the official website.

Candidates can visit the official website, exams.nta.nic.in/niftee, and log in using their application number and password to check their result.
