‘No double standards, no compromise’: PM Modi reiterates India’s firm stand on terrorism in Malaysia -top quotes

NEW DELHI: Addressing a joint press statement in Kuala Lumpur with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India’s stance on terrorism remains firm and uncompromising, reaffirming New Delhi’s support for efforts aimed at peace. He added that India and Malaysia would strengthen cooperation in security, including counter-terrorism, intelligence sharing and maritime security, while expanding defence collaboration.“Our message on terrorism is clear: no double standards and no compromise,” PM Modi said.PM Modi’s remarks in Malaysia came days after India indicated that the extradition of fugitive preacher Zakir Naik would be among the issues discussed during talks with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.The joint press statement followed delegation-level talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Malaysian counterpart Anwar Ibrahim, after the two sides exchanged several memoranda of understanding (MoUs).
