NEET 2026 registration: The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026 registration process will close on March 8, 2026. Candidates who plan to appear for the exam must complete the online application process before the deadline on the official website neet.nta.nic.in.The registration process is being conducted by the National Testing Agency. As per the official public notice issued on February 8, 2026, applications are being accepted only in online mode.

NEET UG 2026: Important dates

Candidates should keep the following dates in mind:

  • Registration start date: February 8, 2026
  • Last date to apply: March 8, 2026 (up to 9:00 PM)
  • Last date for fee payment: March 8, 2026 (up to 11:50 PM)
  • Correction window: March 10 to March 12, 2026
  • Exam date: May 3, 2026

NEET UG 2026 exam details

  • Exam duration: 180 minutes (3 hours)
  • Exam timing: 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM (Indian Standard Time)
  • Mode of exam: Pen and paper
  • Exam languages: Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu

Courses covered through NEET UG 2026

NEET UG 2026 scores will be used for admission to:

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
  • Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BVSc and AH)
  • Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
  • Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS)
  • Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery (BSMS)
  • Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS)

The exam is also mandatory for Military Nursing Service (MNS) candidates seeking admission to Bachelor of Science (BSc) Nursing courses at Armed Forces Medical Services hospitals.

NEET UG 2026 application fee

The application fee is as follows:

  • General: ₹1,700
  • General–Economically Weaker Section (EWS) / Other Backward Classes–Non Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL): ₹1,600
  • Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) / Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) / Third Gender: ₹1,000
  • Candidates outside India: ₹9,500

  • Always cross-check your name, date of birth, parents’ names, and category with your Class 10 certificate and Aadhaar before final submission.

Uploading wrong photograph or signature

  • Follow the exact size, format, and background guidelines issued by NTA to avoid rejection.

Payment failure or incomplete transaction

  • Do not refresh the page during payment. Wait for the confirmation message and download the confirmation page.

Selecting the wrong category

  • Carefully check your valid caste or category certificate before choosing General, OBC, SC, ST, or EWS.

Submitting the form at the last minute

  • Complete the registration at least 2–3 days before the deadline to avoid server issues.
