MPESB Nursing Officer Recruitment 2026: Applications open for 2,317 posts from April 6; details here

The Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB) has announced the Nursing Officer Recruitment 2026 under the Group-5 Staff Nurse and Paramedical Combined Recruitment Test, opening more than 2,300 vacancies across state-run healthcare institutions. The online application process will commence on April 6, 2026, and remain open until April 20, 2026. Eligible candidates will be able to apply through the official MPESB portal. The recruitment drive includes positions for Nursing Officers and Sister Tutors, aimed at strengthening staffing in government hospitals and medical colleges. The computer-based examination is scheduled to begin from May 15, 2026, and will be conducted in multiple shifts across designated centres in the state.

Vacancy breakup and key dates

The recruitment drive comprises a total of 2,317 posts, including 2,099 vacancies for Nursing Officers and 218 for Sister Tutors. These appointments will be made across various government healthcare facilities under the state’s public health system.As per the official schedule, the application window will open on April 6 and close on April 20, 2026. The examination is slated to begin from May 15, 2026. Candidates are advised to complete the application process within the stipulated timeline to avoid last-minute technical issues.

Eligibility criteria and application requirements

Applicants must possess a B.Sc Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc Nursing qualification from a recognised institution. In addition, candidates may be required to hold valid registration with the relevant state nursing council, as specified in the detailed notification.The age limit for applicants is set between 18 and 40 years, with relaxation applicable to reserved category candidates as per state government norms. Candidates must ensure that all eligibility conditions are fulfilled before submitting their applications, as verification will be conducted at later stages of the recruitment process.

Selection process and exam pattern

The selection process will be conducted in multiple stages, beginning with a computer-based test (CBT). The written examination will comprise 100 questions covering general aptitude and domain-specific subjects related to nursing and paramedical disciplines. Negative marking will be applicable as per the prescribed scheme.Based on performance in the CBT, a merit list will be prepared, followed by document verification for shortlisted candidates. Final selection will be subject to successful verification of academic credentials, eligibility criteria, and other required documents.
