The Madhya Pradesh Police has started the online application process for Constable (Band) recruitment 2026. Candidates who are interested can apply online through the official MP Online portal.According to the official notification, the recruitment is being conducted to fill 679 Constable (Band) posts across the state.Important dates

  • Last date to apply: April 19, 2026
  • Application correction window: April 5 to April 24, 2026

Candidates are advised to complete the application before the last date, as no forms will be accepted after that.

Vacancy details

A total of 679 posts have been announced for Constable (Band). These posts are divided across different categories as per state reservation rules.Important: Only male candidates are eligible for these posts.

Application fee

  • General (Unreserved): ₹500
  • Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), Economically Weaker Section (EWS): ₹250
  • Portal fee: ₹150 + GST extra

Eligibility criteria

Educational qualification

  • For General, SC and OBC candidates: Must have passed Class 10 or Higher Secondary (10+2) from a recognised board
  • For ST candidates: Minimum Class 8 pass

Age limit (as on April 19, 2026)

  • Minimum age: 18 years
  • Maximum age: 33 years for General category, 38 years for reserved categories (as per rules)

Physical standardsCandidates must meet the required physical measurements:

  • Height: 168 cm (General/OBC/EWS), 165 cm (SC/ST)
  • Chest (only for males): 81–86 cm (General/OBC/EWS), 79–84 cm (SC/ST)

No relaxation will be given in physical standards.

Selection process

The recruitment will be done in three stages:

  • Skill Test (qualifying)
  • Band Playing Test (75 marks)
  • Interview (25 marks)

Candidates must know how to play at least one musical instrument from the given list.

Salary

Selected candidates will get a salary in the range of ₹19,500 to ₹62,000.
