'Market depends on your last film': Bharath gets candid on his comeback and industry realities at 'Kaalidas 2' audio launch
Actor Bharath candidly discussed the volatile nature of the film industry at the ‘Kaalidas 2’ audio launch, emphasizing that an actor’s market value is dictated by their last film’s performance. He highlighted the crucial role of a good director in an actor’s career and reflected on ‘Kaalidas’ as his significant comeback film.

Actor Bharath’s recent speech at the ‘Kaalidas 2’ audio launch has struck a chord for its raw honesty. The actor took center stage to discuss the “stones and roses” of his career, spanning from his meteoric rise in the early 2000s to his recent resurgence. Bharath didn’t shy away from the brutal truth of the box office, noting that while hits bring celebration, a single flop can lead the industry to claim an actor has “no market.”

Bharath on directors in the indusrty

Talking about his experiences, Bharath said he has worked with many new directors throughout his career. As per Cinema Vikatan, he stressed how important it is for an actor to find the right filmmaker. He said, “I have worked with many new directors in my career. What I have learned is that if you get a good director, your journey will open up. If you do not have that, then that is where the problem starts.” He pointed out the importance of direction in an actor’s career.

Bharath describes success and failure

Bharath further discussed the genuine situation regarding the success or failure of movies. He explained that every actor goes through ups and downs. He said, “Every hero in cinema will face both success and failure. After three hits, people celebrate you. But if you suddenly give a flop, they say you have no market.” He added, “In this industry, the business depends on your last film.” His statement clearly showed how quickly perceptions can change in the film industry.
