Malayalam actor Riaz Pathan met with a car accident in Theni, Tamil Nadu. The crash happened early in the morning.As reported by Reporter website, Riaz left his home in Alappuzha at around 4 a.m and he was on his way to Theni for work. Before he could reach the town, at around 8 a.m., the car suddenly hit a road divider. The side that got hit was the same side where Riaz was sitting. His son, Ajmal Riaz, was the one driving the car.
Riaz Pathan rushed through three hospitals for treatment
After the accident, people nearby helped them quickly. A 108 ambulance reached and took Riaz to the Theni Taluk Hospital first. Later, he was shifted to Theni Medical College for better checks. By evening, the doctors felt he needed more expert care. So he was taken to the Vaikom Indo American Hospital. The doctors said he needed proper monitoring. But they also said that there is nothing to worry about. They added that he will be discharged soon.
Riaz Pathan was working on scripts and has several films to his credit
Riaz started his Malayalam film career with the lead role in ‘Flat Number 4B’. After that, he acted in many well-known films like Nivin Pauly’s ‘Kayamkulam Kochunni’, ‘Clint’, ‘Rani’, and the Kannada film ‘Gadiyara’. He recently acted in ‘Randam Mukham’, which came on OTT last week.
Another incident: KSRTC bus hits actor’s car during movie promotion
On the last day, another accident involving a Malayalam actor also came to light. This time, it was actor Maniyanpilla Raju’s son, Niranj. He was traveling with his team to promote his new movie Masthishka Maranam. Their car was hit by a KSRTC bus and the crash happened at Kodungallur. The team was taking a normal turn when the bus came from the other side and hit their vehicle.Talking to the media, Niranj explained how the accident happened. He said the bus showed up suddenly while they were turning. He said, “The bus came while we were turning the bend. It then hit our car.” But he also said they were lucky. No one in the car got hurt. Everyone came out safely and only the car suffered heavy damage.
