Leonardo DiCaprio begins shooting ‘What Happens at Night’ with Martin Scorsese; reunites with Jennifer Lawrence
Hollywood icon Leonardo DiCaprio has commenced filming for Martin Scorsese’s “What Happens at Night,” their seventh cinematic collaboration. This “haunted marriage drama” sees DiCaprio reunite with Jennifer Lawrence, following their “Don’t Look Up” roles. The film, an adaptation of Peter Cameron’s novel, centers on a couple adopting a child in a European town.

Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio has started shooting for his next film, ‘What Happens at Night’, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Martin Scorsese.The upcoming film marks the seventh feature for the duo, who have previously worked on ‘Gangs of New York’ (2002), ‘The Aviator’ (2004), ‘The Departed’ (2006), ‘Shutter Island’ (2010), ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ (2013), and their latest work ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’, which released in 2023.They have also collaborated on the 2015 short film ‘The Audition’, featuring Robert De Niro alongside DiCaprio.DiCaprio and Scorsese shared a collaborative post on their respective Instagram handles on Thursday as they announced the production of “What Happens at Night”. The first look poster of the film featured the actor alongside Jennifer Lawrence against the backdrop of a snowy town with a car behind them.“‘What Happens at Night’ is now in production,” read the caption.The film is described as “a haunted marriage drama” and also reunites DiCaprio with Lawrence after their 2021 film “Don’t Look Up”, where they essayed the roles of astronomers.Also starring Jared Harris, ‘What Happens at Night’ is an adaptation of Peter Cameron’s novel with the same title, which revolves around a married American couple who travel to a small European town to adopt a child.The film is produced by Scorsese under his banner Sikelia Productions banner, alongside DiCaprio’s Appian Way Productions, Lawrence’s Excellent Cadaver banner, Apple Studios, and StudioCanal.
