While talking to Woman’s World, the 64-year-old actress shared that she does not have a problem with playing aged characters on screen now. She further joked about how she has been playing an old character for years now, recalling her time on ‘Back To The Future.’In the iconic film, Thompson played the role of a 17-year-old, then a 47-year-old, and lastly a 77-year-old as well. Referring to this, she commented, “It’s a gift to have been part of such an iconic movie that’s loved and recognized all over the world,” further adding that “people are used to me getting older.” She also quipped about how funny the situation is, saying, “It’s hilarious that I’ve been playing the mother of a 17-year-old for 40 years! I really cornered the market there.”

During the interview, the star further joked about the one difference there is between playing an old woman and being in her 60s now. Referring to the prosthetic makeup she used to play 47 and 77, the actress quipped, “The funny thing about doing that old-age makeup was that I could take it off at the end of the day! Now I use some beautiful skincare.”
