Michelle Randolph, one of the stars of the hit show ‘Landman’, didn’t hold back when she finally got to work with Billy Bob Thornton. In fact, without giving much thought to “awkwardness” or anything of that sort, she went straight for the big question: Did he really drink Angelina Jolie’s blood? It’s one of those wild rumors from the early 2000s that just won’t die, and Michelle was dying to know the truth.

Michelle Randolph brought it up on ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’ while promoting her new movie, ‘Scream 7’. Michelle explained that most of her scenes are with Billy Bob, who plays her dad on Landman, and her curiosity finally got the better of her.“Most of my scenes are with him, and I’m thinking, ‘God, all I know is that he drank Angelina Jolie’s blood or something,’” she said, adding, “Which I since have asked him about.”Randolph admitted that she had heard the old rumors so many times that she couldn’t resist simply asking Thornton about them. And as it turns out, Billy Bob, who, in fact, previously confirmed that he and Angelina wore vials of each other’s blood during their three-year marriage in the early aughts, was not at all bothered by his castmate’s curiosity.“Honestly, all I really knew was that rumor about Angelina Jolie’s blood,” she admitted, laughing. She figured most people would be too nervous to ask, but she felt comfortable enough with Billy Bob to just come out and say it.“If ease was a person, that’s who he is,” Michelle said, adding, “That’s why he’s so good at what he does. You think someone with his résumé is going to be so intimidating, but instead, he’s such a great actor because he pulls honesty out of you and he settles you in a scene and in life.”
What Billy Bob Thornton revealed
Interestingly, Michelle kept Billy Bob’s exact answer to herself. However, the ‘Sling Blade’ actor has time and again reflected on the media’s curiosity and scrutiny about his and Angelina Jolie’s equation and relationship. In fact, Billy Bob revealed that they faced way too much pressure during their time together, and all those speculations about their equation and affection for each other were largely overblown.Talking to Rolling Stone last November, Billy Bob said, “We each had a little locket, literally with a drop of blood in them.” As per him, it was just a sweet, personal gesture between them and nothing more. However, the press took that and ran wild with it. “That’s a romantic little idea, and that’s all that was. But by the time it’s over, we’re vampires. We live in a dungeon, we drink each other’s blood, and this kind of stuff,” Billy Bob added. He also revealed that Angelina started it, wanting to feel connected to him when they were apart.Now, even after more than twenty years since they split, Billy Bob says he and Angelina are still very close. He looks back at that time fondly, calling it one of the best chapters of his life. “That was one of the greatest times of my life,” he emphasized about their whirlwind romance. “And that was the one that ended up being a really civilized breakup. We simply split up because our lifestyles were so different.”
