KVS 1st Class provisional list 2026: The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has formally released the Class 1 provisional selection list today, April 9, 2026. The Balvatika lottery results were declared on April 8, 2026. These results have been declared through a preliminary selection list along with a waiting list. Yet again, this process was not completely smooth across the country. In view of the fact that the nation is passing through the phase of the General Elections, there have been some delays on account of the same in selected states like Assam, Kerala, and Puducherry.The parents will be able to view the outcome from the website of KVS and the website for admission. Parents have been recommended to keep a copy of the outcome as well for their records. Admissions to Kendriya Vidyalayas are carried out via a computerised lottery system, which ensures impartiality in the selection process. After closing the registration window on April 2, 2026, applications will be classified into different quotas, namely: Reservations for Right to Education (RTE), Service quota for employees in the central and state governments, and Constitutional reservationsIf the candidate appears in the provisional list, the next step will be the verification of documents at the selected Kendriya Vidyalaya. The non-compliance with the above step may lead to the allocation of seats to students from the waiting list.KVS is expected to release subsequent lists in phases, depending on vacancy positions. Parents are advised to remain vigilant and track updates closely, particularly those whose children feature on the waitlist.
