‘Ketamine Queen’ sentenced to 15 years in jail in Matthew Perry case

Three years after the death of Hollywood actor Matthew Perry, 42-year-old Jasveen Sangha, also known as ‘Ketamine Queen’ Wednesday was sentenced today to 180 months in federal prison for her long-running drug dealing activities, including selling ketamine that contributed to at least two deaths. The overdose of Perry in October 2023 was one of those.Jasveen Sangha was sentenced by United States District Judge Sherilyn Peace Garnett.Sangha pleaded guilty in September 2025 to one count of maintaining a drug-involved premises, three counts of distribution of ketamine, and one count of distribution of ketamine resulting in death or serious bodily injury.Sangha is a dual citizen of the United States and the United Kingdom and has been in federal custody since August 2024.“For years…Sangha operated a high-volume drug trafficking business out of her North Hollywood residence,” prosecutors argued in a sentencing memorandum. “To cultivate her business, [Sangha] marketed herself as an exclusive dealer who catered to high-profile Hollywood clientele…While [Sangha] worked to expand and profit from her drug trafficking, she knew – and disregarded – the grave harm her conduct was causing.”Ketamine is a dissociative anaesthetic that has some hallucinogenic effects and is supposed to be administered only by a physician.Ahead of Sangha’s sentencing, Perry’s stepmother Debbie Perry, asked the judge to hand the maximum possible prison sentence. Sangha caused “irreversible” damage, Debbie Perry said in a victim impact statement submitted to the California court on Tuesday.“You caused this… You who has talent for business enough to make money chose the one way that hurts people,” she said. “Please give this heartless woman the maximum prison sentence so she won’t be able to hurt other families like ours.”Matthew Perry was known for his struggles with drug addiction. Days before his death, Sangha sold Perry 51 vials of ketamine. On october 28, 2023, Perry’s personal assistant njected Perry with at least three shots of Sangha’s ketamine, which caused Perry’s death.
