KEAM 2026: Exam centre change allowed amid Middle East conflict; admit card to be released on April 8

The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) has allowed candidates to change their exam centres for the Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical Entrance Examination in Gulf countries. The decision comes in view of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.According to the official announcement, several candidates who had selected the United Arab Emirates (UAE) — Sharjah as their exam centre are facing difficulties in travelling. To help such candidates, the authorities have introduced a one-time facility to modify exam centres.Due to this revision process, the release of the KEAM 2026 admit card has also been postponed. The hall ticket, which was earlier scheduled to be released on April 1, will now be issued on April 8.The examination authority has also stated that this is the final opportunity to change exam centres. No further extension will be provided. Candidates are advised to complete the process within the given deadline.

KEAM 2026: Who can change exam centre

The CEE has specified the following categories of candidates who can opt for exam centre changes:

  • Candidates who selected UAE earlier can now choose a centre in Kerala if they are currently in the state and unable to travel abroad
  • Students who selected Kerala centres but are currently in Gulf countries can switch to Gulf centres
  • Candidates who selected UAE can change their exam centre to Kuwait
  • Candidates with UAE as their selected centre can also opt for Bahrain

KEAM 2026: How to change exam centre

Candidates can follow these steps to update their exam centre:

  • Visit the official website at cee.kerala.gov.in
  • Click on the “KEAM 2026 Application” link
  • Log in using application number and password
  • Click on the “Change Centre” option
  • Select preferred exam centre and submit
