Karan Kundrra, who was spotted by TV czarina Ektaa Kapoor on social media and went on to become one of the popular stars of Indian television, recently appeared on Elvish Yadav‘s podcast. The actor has been part of various daily soaps, films and reality shows. However, it was Bigg Boss which changed things personally and professionally both. The TV star not only met his lady love on the show but his stardom touch new heights after the show. Recently, during a conversation with Elvish Yadav on his podcast, Karan revealed that he made headlines by demanding a fee that no contestant had ever quoted before for Bigg Boss. Every season, viewers of Bigg Boss eagerly speculate about how much the participants are paid. Addressing this curiosity, Karan has now finally shared details about the amount he charged for being part of the show.While talking to Elvish, Karan shared how initially he was not very keen on doing the show and things just happened. Just then Elvish asked him about the biggest payment he has received in his career. Karan quickly answered that it was for Bigg Boss.Speaking about the payment he received for Bigg Boss, Karan shared, “My biggest pay cheque was from Bigg Boss. We created history — it was one of those ‘being at the right place at the right time’ situations. They had been in talks with me for four to five years, and at that time, COVID had just ended. They were like, ‘No, we definitely want Karan.’ So I said, ‘I’m a bit of a short-tempered person, so maybe you shouldn’t take me.“He further recalled how he used his experience of working behind the scenes on a reality show and quoted a huge pay package and the makers agreed to pay him the amount, “In the end, I quoted a huge amount, and they agreed. I had asked for a pretty substantial fee. The main people behind the show told me that no contestant in the show’s history had ever demanded as much as I did. Because around that time, I was also behind the camera and had done things as a co-producer as well, so I knew how much to ask for,” he said.For the uninitiated, Bigg Boss 15 aired during COVID-19 and Karan’s girlfriend and popular actress Tejasswi Prakash won the show, while Pratik Sehajpal was the first runner-up and Karan came second.
