JHTET recruitment 2026: Exam pattern

The Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JHTET) 2026 has been designed to test the candidates’ eligibility for teaching posts in government schools at two different levels:Level 1: Primary Teachers (Classes 1 to 5) This level of JHTET 2026 has been designed for candidates who are preparing to teach students at the primary level. It is a test of knowledge, teaching skills, and knowledge of the subjects that are taught at the primary level.Level 2: Upper Primary Teachers (Classes 6 to 8) This level of JHTET 2026 has been designed for candidates who are preparing to teach at the upper primary level. It is a test of knowledge of the subjects that are taught at the upper primary level.

Therefore, the candidates must follow the process step by step to avoid application rejection.Step 1: Registration

  • Open the official JAC website: www.jac.jharkhand.gov.in
  • Go to the Exam Form section and click on JHTET 2026 Application
  • Create a new account by filling in the details such as full name, date of birth, mobile number, and email
  • Activate your account by verifying the OTP received on your mobile/email

Step 2: Login and form filling

  • Log in to your account by entering your registered mobile number/email and password
  • Fill in your personal details such as name, father’s/mother’s name, birthdate, gender
  • Enter your academic qualifications, teaching experience, and preferred subjects
  • Enter category details (if applicable)

Step 3: Upload documentsUpload your documents in the prescribed format:

  • Recent passport-size photograph
  • Signature
  • Academic qualification certificates
  • Teaching qualification certificates
  • Category certificates (if applicable)

Step 4: Application fee paymentPay the application fee online by choosing one of the options:
