Jackie Shroff hopes to share screen with son Tiger Shroff: ‘I want it to happen very soon’
Veteran star Jackie Shroff revealed his long-held dream to collaborate with his son, Tiger Shroff, on film. Although both made appearances in ‘Singham Again,’ their roles kept them apart. Jackie underlined the necessity for a strong, engaging narrative that would unite them, a sentiment Tiger shares as he looks forward to the day they can finally act together.

Over a career spanning four decades in Hindi cinema, Jackie Shroff has ticked off almost everything, but one pairing remains on his wishlist. He has said he would love to share the screen with his son, Tiger Shroff, and that it is less about timing and more about finding a script that truly fits them both. That interest, Jackie says, has been around for a while. Speaking to ANI, he stressed that the project must come together organically. “I want it to happen very soon. I hope someone will come up with a subject that will bring us both together. I am waiting for it,” he said. According to ANI, the idea has been discussed at home too. “Tiger also wants to work with me. He said ‘Daddy, we must work together. It will be fun.’”

Jackie Shroff-Tiger Shroff collaboration depends on subject

The comments have drawn attention because the father and son were recently part of the same high-profile film, yet never appeared together. Both featured in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Singham Again,’ released in 2024. Jackie Shroff took on the role of the antagonist Omar Hafeez, while Tiger Shroff played ACP Satya Bali. Despite sharing screen time in the same film, their characters were kept on separate tracks.‘Singham Again’ is the franchise’s third outing, after ‘Singham’ (2011) and ‘Singham Returns’ (2014). Alongside Ajay Devgn, the cast includes Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, and Ranveer Singh. Given the series’s box-office success, audiences were not blind to the absence of the Jackie Shroff-Tiger Shroff moment.

Jackie Shroff’s latest film and upcoming work

Away from the franchise space, Jackie Shroff has stayed busy with roles across a range of genres. He was last seen in ‘Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri,’ alongside Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday, with Neena Gupta playing an important part. The film is presented by Dharma Productions and Namah Pictures and backed by producers Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Shareen Mantri Kedia, and Kishor Arora. It arrived in theaters on December 25, 2025.For Jackie Shroff, the expectation remains uncomplicated. Find the right subject. Share the screen. And finally bring a long-awaited father-son pairing to life.
