IRB GD Constable recruitment 2026: Registration for 984 posts ends on April 10; direct link to apply here

The Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) has invited applications for IRB GD Constable Recruitment 2026. The recruitment notification has been released under Advertisement Number 04/2026 for 984 Group C posts in uniformed services. The registration is currently underway.Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official website. The application process began on March 23, 2026, and the last date to apply is April 10, 2026. Candidates who have completed Class 10 and are looking for entry-level jobs in uniformed services can apply.

IRB GD Constable 2026 vacancy details

A total of 984 vacancies will be filled across multiple posts. The post-wise distribution is as follows:

  • Constable Band (IRBn): 44 posts
  • Constable Bugler: 2 posts
  • Constable (IRBn): 236 posts
  • Civil Police (Female): 170 posts
  • Civil Police (Male): 216 posts
  • Fireman: 73 posts
  • Special Tiger Guard/STPF: 243 posts

Selected candidates will be placed at Pay Level-3 with a salary ranging from Rs 21,700 to Rs 69,100, along with applicable allowances.

Eligibility criteria

Candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements:Educational qualification

  • Must have passed Matriculation (Class 10) from a recognised board
  • Candidates applying for Band or Bugler posts should have knowledge of music
  • Other posts require candidates to meet physical standards

Age limit

  • Constable posts: 18 to 22 years
  • Fireman and Special Tiger Guard: Up to 32 years

Physical standardsFor male candidates:

  • Height: 152 cm to 165 cm
  • Chest: 79 cm to 84 cm

Candidates will also need to qualify in running and jumping events during the physical efficiency test.

Selection process

The recruitment process includes the following stages:

  • Written Test
  • Physical Standard Test (PST)
  • Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
  • Trade Test (if applicable)
  • Medical Examination

The written test will be objective type and carry 200 marks. The exam will include:

  • General Awareness
  • Reasoning
  • Mathematics
  • English

The written exam will be conducted on May 10, 2026. The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) will begin from May 25, 2026.

Application fee

Candidates will need to pay the following application fee:

  • APST candidates: Rs 150
  • UR candidates: Rs 200

The application fee is non-refundable.
