The Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog (HPRCA), Hamirpur, has released the notification for Junior Basic Teacher (JBT) recruitment 2026, announcing 600 vacancies under the state’s Elementary Education Department. Eligibility criteria
Candidates applying for the JBT posts must fulfil the prescribed educational qualifications. Applicants should have passed Class 12 with at least 50% marks and possess a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) or JBT qualification from a recognised institution. Additionally, candidates must have qualified the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by the appropriate authority.Alternatively, candidates with a four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) degree or those with a graduation degree along with a two-year D.El.Ed. qualification may also be eligible to apply, depending on the applicable recruitment rules.The age limit for applicants is between 18 and 45 years, with relaxation in the upper age limit applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government norms.
